What should I look for in a web host?

      Be suspicious if a site offers “unlimited” anything.  Only God is truly infinite in his attributes!  We offer 5 gigs of transfer per month because we guarantee that we can support that much traffic to your site.  This amount is ample for most clients.  To date, we have never billed a client at the $.50 cents per gig rate for going over his/her monthly transfer limit, although we reserve the right to do so.

       It would be wise to get an insider's report concerning a particular service.  You could email clients and ask them whether they have enjoyed a product or service.  If clients with well designed websites like a particular web hosting company, most likely you'll be pleased with that web host too.  Clients can provide you feedback on server stability and speed, along with an estimate of technical support response times.  You might also consider whether a host would be a good steward of its funds.
